Broadway Cares Alex Newell Set to Perform at Rockefeller Center's Love Above All Ball

The Pride event will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Rockefeller Center will host the 2022 Love Above All Ball at the Rainbow Room June 24 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. 

Headliners include Alex Newell, known for portraying Unique Adams on the Fox musical comedy Glee and making his Broadway debut as Asaka in the Tony Award-winning revival of Once on This Island; RuPaul's Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon and DJ Matthew Mazur, who will lead a cabaret sing along; The xx co-frontman Oliver Sim; and DJ Honey Davenport. The menu will be curated by chef and The Cook You Want to Be author Andy Baraghani with drinks by mixologist and Tiki: Modern Tropical Cocktails author Shannon Mustipher.

The ball has been on hiatus for the past two years following its launch in 2019. The event's debut welcomed performances by pop singer MARINA, singer-songwriter Betty Who, and drag queen Shangela, with benefits going to the Born This Way Foundation.
