Amber Iman

An Evening with Amber Iman is set for Off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theatre April 21-23. The Audible Theater concert will feature the Broadway veteran singing her way through love, loss, rejection, heartbreak, and joy.

Iman made her Broadway debut in 2013 portraying jazz singer Nina Simone in Soul Doctor. She went on to perform in the original Broadway cast of Shuffle Along, or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed and the first National tour of Hamilton (playing Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds). In 2018, she starred in the Kennedy Center's revival of Little Shop of Horrors, alongside Megan Hilty, Josh Radnor, and Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart. Iman also was the first female performer to return to Broadway following the shutdown, playing a special concert to an invite-only, socially distanced audience at the Broadway Theatre.

The show will be recorded live from the Minetta Lane Theatre and globally released as an Audible Original.

"The ability to put on short-run shows focused on a single incredible performer is a specialty of Audible Theater’s work at the Minetta Lane Theatre," says Audible Theater Artistic Producer Kate Navin. "As the first actress to return to Broadway following the pandemic, we are especially honored to work with Amber Iman to bring her original work live on stage and available to millions more through Audible."

Tickets for An Evening with Amber Iman go on sale March 30 at Audible.com. Rush tickets will be available via TodayTix.
