Betsy Morgan, most recently see on the Main Stem as a standby in Kimberly Akimbo, will join Off-Broadway's new Adam Gwon musical All the World's a Stage beginning May 2. Morgan will play Dede, succeeding Elizabeth Stanley, who is departing the Keen Company production due to a scheduling conflict with a new film. Stanley's final performance will be May 1.
“We are thrilled to welcome Betsy Morgan to the company of All the World’s a Stage," says director Jonathan Silverstein in a statement. “I have had the distinct pleasure of seeing her work in many seminal productions over the years, so it is an extra special honor to be finally collaborating with her. I can’t wait for audiences to experience all she will bring to the role of Dede and the ensemble as a whole.”
The new, original musical (with a book, music, and lyrics by Gwon) is the final of Silverstein's tenure as Keen Company's artistic director. The production opened April 15 at Theatre Row, and performances continue through May 10. Read what critics had to say about the show here.
