Off-Broadway News Celtic Illusion to Play Off-Broadway's New World Stages

The show combines Irish dance with stage magic and illusions.

Celtic Illusion, created, choreographed, and starring Anthony Street (Lord of the Dance), will play New World Stages. Performances begin June 30, with opening night July 10. The production will play through September 11.

Celtic Illusion combines contemporary Irish Dance with elements of magic and illusion. Since premiering in 2011, Celtic Illusion has played Australia, Canada, and the United States.

The evening will feature music by Angela Little (Australia), Steve Skinner (Rent), and Michael Londra.

“Before I was a dancer, my great passion was magic and illusion, but when I worked with Lord of the Dance for four years beginning when I was 20, magic got pushed to the side,” said Anthony Street. “When I decided to create this show in Australia, it dawned on me that I should combine my two passions to give audiences a new sensory experience.”

Celtic Illusion is produced by Annerin Productions and WEXFORDHOUSE.
