News Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Ends Season With a Gypsy Sequence (Video) Lea Salonga sings on the show, too!
Rachel Bloom

The CW TV series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend wrapped up its first season with a Broadway-worthy finale.

The comedy series, which stars Rachel Bloom as Rebecca Bunch, a woman who drops everything and moves to California in hopes of reuniting with the boyfriend who dumped her, often uses Broadway-style musical numbers to dramatize episodes in the characters' lives.

There were two notable songs in the season finale. Co-star Donna Lynne Champlin (Sweeney Todd, By Jeeves) ripped into Rebecca in the aria ”After Everything I've Done For You,” whose staging is strongly reminiscent of “Rose's Turn” from Gypsy:

Tony winner Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Allegiance) appeared as a guest star, singing “One Indescribable Instant.”
