Dorset Theatre Festival has postponed its production of Herb Gardner’s I’m Not Rappaport to summer 2019; the festival will now launch its 2018 season with Molly Smith Metzler's play Cry It Out.

Judd Hirsch, who was set to return to his Tony-winning role in I’m Not Rappaport at the theatre festival in Vermont this summer, is currently recuperating from back surgery.

Cry It Out, directed by Marc Masterson, will begin performances June 21 at the Dorset Playhouse. The comedy looks at the dilemma of returning to work after childbirth and the ways in which class impacts parenthood and friendship.

As previously announced, the 41st summer theatre festival season will also include Dominique Morisseau's Skeleton Crew (July 19–August 4), Kate Hamill's Pride and Prejudice, adapted from the novel by Jane Austen (August 9–25), Holland Taylor’s Ann, starring Jayne Atkinson (August 29–September 1), and Pipeline Series: Four New Works in Process (June 26, July 10, July 31, and August 12).

All performances take place at the Dorset Playhouse, located at 104 Cheney Road, Dorset, Vermont.
