Hamilton Tony winner Renée Elise Goldsberry shows off her rapping skills once again, this time for the animated Nickelodeon series Sunny Day. In this Playbill exclusive video, check out Goldsberry and fellow Broadway alum Kyle Dean Massey singing “Simple and Fancy Things” from an upcoming episode of the hit animated show.

The episode, titled “A Different Duo,” will air December 2 at 11 AM ET on Nick Jr.

In it, Johnny‐Ray (Massey) wins a chance to perform with rap music star Fee‐B (Goldsberry), but when their styles don’t mesh, they decide to go their separate ways. It’ll take Johnny‐Ray helping Fee‐B, Sunny, and the girls out of a jam to make them all realize what the pair can achieve.

Sunny Day follows the adventures of Sunny, a 10-year-old master hairstylist and entrepreneur who uses creative problem-solving to tackle any dilemma that arises in her seaside town of Friendly Falls. The series celebrates individuality, self-expression, leadership, innovative thinking, and teamwork.
