News Frank Ingrasciotta Will Discover His Blood Type Is Ragu in October Tony-winning producer Albert Nocciolino will present Frank Ingrasciotta's one-man play Blood Type: Ragu, about a family that emigrates back and forth from Sicily to America, next month at Shea Smith’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, NY.

Written and performed by Ingrasciotta, who portrays more than 20 characters, performances are scheduled for Oct. 14-26.

Ingrasciotta developed Ragu at the George Street Playhouse. The show was seen Off-Broadway at the Actors Playhouse and was awarded top honors at last year’s United Solo Festival, picking up prizes for Best Comic Actor and Best Comedic Script.

Author-actor Ingrasciotta previously told Playbill.com the show is about "the first-generation child as a go-between [for] two cultures. It should resonate with any ethnic group that's experienced this." Asked how much of the show was autobiographical and how much was fictional, Ingrasciotta replied, "It's 80 percent true, 10 percent my wife's story combined into mine, and 10 percent heightened for drama."

Ted Sod directs.
