As Tootsie continues to climb the box-office boards, Dorothy Michaels is proving to be a marquee (and Marquis) name.

The musical, based on the 1982 comedy, grossed $1,311,986 in the week ending May 19, marking its third consecutive week with seven figures; it also played to over 90 percent capacity for the second week in a row at the Marquis Theatre.

Tootsie is currently up for 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical. Among the shows joining it in the coveted category are Ain't Too Proud and Hadestown, both of which also surpassed $1 million (the two earned 12 and 14 total nods, respectively).

Of the plays, two buzzy new titles that did not secure a Best Play Tony nomination still managed to secure a packed house, as the Jeff Daniels-led To Kill a Mockingbird and the Bryan Cranston-led Network both grossed over 100 percent of their potential.
