Judd Hirsch will reprise his Tony-winning role in Herb Gardner's I'm Not Rappaport for Shadowland Stages, part of the company's 40th anniversary season. The production will also mark the play's 40th anniversary, having debuted on Broadway in 1985.

The comedic play follows two octogenarians talking on a park bench. Hirsch was 50 years old when he created the role of Nat Moyer in 1985, and will be 90 for this revival staging. The first outing earned him a Best Leading Actor in a Play Tony Award, one of three wins for the production that also included Best Play. Hirsch previously reprised the performance for a 2002 Broadway revival co-starring Ben Vereen.

Tony nominee Neil Pepe will direct the new production, with further casting to be announced. Performances will run May 30-June 29.

The Hudson Valley company's season also includes a New York premiere for playwright and Broadway actor John Cariani's Darker the Night, Brighter the Stars. Cariani is also directing the work, a spiritual follow up to his oft-produced Almost, Maine. As in the earlier play, the new work comprises vignettes set against the Perseid meteor showers of northern Maine. Performances will run August 29-September 14.

The company's season also includes runs of Rajiv Joseph's King James (July 5-20), directed by Jammie Patton; Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson's musical Waitress, directed by Brittany Proia (July 25-August 24); Mark St. Germain's Becoming Dr. Ruth, directed by Stephen Nachamie (September 19-October 5); David Auburn's Proof, directed by Brendan Burke (October 10-26); and Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon's Georgiana & Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley, directed by Burke (December 5-21). The latter work is the conclusion of Gunderson and Meclon's trilogy which bring new adventures to the characters of Jane Austen.
