Tony nominee, MacArthur Genius Grant recipient, and Pulitzer Prize finalist Taylor Mac will be featured in La MaMa’s Coffeehouse Chronicles #154 June 8.

Gabriel Berry will moderate a discussion, curated by Michal Gamily, which will highlight the Off-Off Broadway achievements and career of Mac.

Mac’s work include A 24-Decade History of Popular Music, Hir, The Walk Across America for Mother Earth, Comparison is Violence, and The Lily’s Revenge. The playwright’s most recent play marks judy's Broadway debut. Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, is currently playing at the Booth Theatre and received seven Tony nominations, including one for Best Play and acting nods for all three of its stars.

Appearing on the panel at the Tony-winning Off-Off-Broadway venue will be Morgan Jenness, Melanie Joseph, Niegel Smith, Barbara Maier Gusten, Timothy White Eagle, and appearing on video, Machine Dazzle. Also set to perform are Matt Ray (piano), Gary Wang (bass), Viva DeConcini (guitar),Bernice "Boom Boom" Brooks, and Greg Glassman (trumpet).
