Emursive's Life and Trust announced a sudden closing Off-Broadway April 19. Ticketholders for future performances were notified via email that they would be refunded "due to unforeseen circumstances."

"The theatrical run of Life and Trust officially came to an end on April 19, 2025," the production's website now reads. "We want to express our deepest gratitude to the thousands of audience members who stepped into our world, and to the extraordinary cast, crew, and creative team who brought this production to life. Your passion, talent, and belief in the magic of live performance made this ambitious journey possible."

Reimagining the Faust legend of money, sex, and power in the heart of New York's financial district, Life and Trust officially opened August 1 after beginning previews June 20. From the team behind Sleep No More (which closed in January after a 14-year run), the site-specific experience takes place on the eve of the Great Crash. Read the reviews here.
