National Tour News Mariand Torres, Erin Mackey, and More Fly Into National Tour of Wicked Some familiar faces assume leading roles in the musical beginning February 26 in Salt Lake City.

The national tour of the international hit musical Wicked welcomes several cast members to leading roles beginning February 26 at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City.

Mariand Torres (In Transit; Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) returns to the role of Elphaba after standing by for the role on Broadway and the first national tour. Erin Mackey, who previously performed the role of Glinda in the Broadway, Chicago, and Los Angeles companies of Wicked, now assumes the part in the tour. Her Broadway credits include In Transit, Amazing Grace, and Anything Goes.

Torres and Mackey are joined by Next to Normal's Curt Hansen, who assumes the role of Fiyero after playing the role on Broadway and the national tour; Sharon Sachs, who is the new Madame Morrible; and Tom Flynn, who returns to the role of Doctor Dillamond after having played the role for over 3,000 performances on Broadway, on tour, and in the Los Angeles and San Francisco companies of Wicked.

They join a cast that currently includes Jason Graae as The Wizard, Mili Diaz as Nessarose, and Michael Wartella as Boq.

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked has a score by Stephen Schwartz, a book by Winnie Holzman, and direction by Joe Mantello with musical staging by Wayne Cilento. The musical is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt, and David Stone.
