September 29 saw a heavy rainstorm in New York City and the greater tri-state area, with the governors of New York and New Jersey declaring a state of emergency. The storms led to the cancellations of flights, as well as the suspension of several subway lines and Metro North lines. But despite the weather, shows in New York City are still going on.

As of 5:30 PM, the only show that has announced its cancellation was Mary Gets Hers, an Off-Broadway production at MCC Theater, which posted in an Instagram story, "Due to continued extreme weather conditions, tonight's performance (SEP 29) of MARY GETS HERS has been cancelled. All future performances are sold out and ticket exchange requests unfortunately, cannot be accommodated, All tix will be automatically refunded to your original form of payment."

When reached for information about potential show cancellations, the Broadway League responded with the following statement: "Broadway remains open this evening and our shows are set to perform. Should the weather conditions worsen, we will update accordingly. For more information, please consult each show’s official website or the website of the theatre itself.”

Playbill will update this story if any additional cancellations are announced.
