Someone call Sheryl Lee Ralph! Michelle Williams (of Destiny's Child and Death Becomes Her) has finally met Michelle Williams (of Fosse/Verdon and the 2014 Cabaret revival). The two women, who share the same name and vocation, recently spent some time together backstage after a performance of Death Becomes Her on Broadway. The actors have frequently been mixed up with one another. It's become so notorious that Williams of Death Becomes Her had previously posted a video on her Instagram where she read a letter from a fan who wished her luck in the musical, while praising her performances in Blue Valentine and The Greatest Showman (which all starred the other Williams). The fan also included photos of the other Williams. The Death Becomes Her Williams ended the video saying she was working on meeting her acting doppelgänger for the first time.
Well that time was April 17. Williams posted another video from her dressing room where the two actors hung out and signed photos. Hopefully, the new video cleared up any confusion among pop culture fans.
Death Becomes Her continues its run at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The show released its cast album April 17.
