Warren Leight, whose 1998 play Side Man won the Best Play Tony Award, is at work on a series for NBC, tentatively titled Salvation, according to Deadline.com.

The project, from Leight, Paul Haggis and Sony TV, has received a pilot production commitment from the network; Haggis is slated to direct.

Salvation will begin on Fourth of July weekend when a summer storm hits and most Brooklyn hospitals are forced to evacuate. The recently downsized Our Lady of Salvation now becomes the borough’s last viable trauma center.

Leight and Haggis are also executive producers.
