Troupe has announced it will present, in association with Park Theatre, the world premiere of Simon Reade's new adaptation of A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood. The run at Park200 at Park Theatre is scheduled to begin previews October 19, with opening night set for October 21 and a closing date set for November 26.
Directed by Philip Wilson, Reade adapts Isherwood's book. Set in 1962 California, A Single Man follows George through a single ordinary day. George, a gay Englishman living in the suburbs of Los Angeles, has recently lost his long-term partner and struggles to move on in this work about grief, love, and loneliness.
The creative team will also feature designer Caitlin Abbott and sound designer Beth Duke, who will provide original composition.

The original novel has previously received a film adaptation by Tom Ford. Isherwood is well-known for writing the semi-autobiographical novella Goodbye to Berlin, which was adapted for the stage and eventually became Cabaret.
