Photos Photo Exclusive: Life With Noah- A Day With Dylan Fineman, The 12-Year-Old Star of Beacon School's Caroline, or Change The Beacon School on the Upper West Side is presenting the NYC high school premiere of Jeanine Tesori and Tony Kushner's Tony-nominated masterpiece Caroline, or Change. Guest artist Dylan Fineman, a 7th grader at Packer, plays the pivotal role of Noah Gellman. He documented a recent day at the theatre and shares the experience of mounting such a challenging and important piece of musical theatre.

Jo Ann M. Cimato directs a cast featuring Marla Louissaint as Caroline Thibodeaux, Fineman as Noah Gellman, Leslie Gaines as Rose Stopnick, Leo Miranda as Stuart Gellman, Michaella Estevez as Emmie Thibodeaux, Anarelis Ramirez as Dotty Moffett, Emmeline Newland as The Washing Machine, Rudy Bamenga as The Dryer/ The Bus, Willa Grace Moore as The Moon, David Barber as Mr. Stopnick, Nina Bloomgarden as Grandma Gellman, Atticus Koizumi as Grandpa Gellman, Brandon Millington as Joe Thibodeaux, Trust Dowd as Jackie Thibodeaux, Senegal Mabry as Navy Man/ Larry Thibodeaux and Taliyah Holder as Young Caroline. Sarah-Kristen Vazquez, Molly Dore and Nicole Onwuka are The Radio.

Caroline, or Change premiered at the Public Theater in 2003, under the direction of George C. Wolfe. The musical transferred to Broadway in 2004 where it received Tony nominations for Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score, Best Actress (Tonya Pinkins), Best Featured Actress (Anika Noni Rose) and Best Direction. Rose earned a Tony Award for her performance. The production later earned the Olivier Award for Best New Musical when it premiered in London in 2007.
