Ken Urban's A Guide for the Homesick began previews at Off-Broadway’s DR2 Theatre December 6 ahead of a December 12 opening. The limited engagement will continue through February 2, 2025, with Shira Milikowsky at the helm.
The two-hander features McKinley Belcher III (Death of a Salesman, Eric, Zero Day) and Uly Schlesinger (HBO’s Genera+ion).

Set in a hotel room in Amsterdam, A Guide for the Homesick follows Teddy and Jeremy, two Americans drawn together by their shared isolation and haunting secrets. Teddy is seeking companionship for the night, while Jeremy is searching for a moment of distraction. As they open up about their troubled pasts, the narrative shifts between the present and the past, with the two actors portraying four roles.
The production features set design by Lawrence Moten III, lighting design by Abigail Hoke-Brady, costume design by David C. Woolard, sound design by Daniel Kluger, and fight direction by J. David Brimmer. Casting is by Geoff Josselson.
The production manager is Sarah Schetter with general management by LDK Productions' Michael Shannon. Gold Milikowsky Group and Lisa Dozier Shacket produce.
