Classic Arts News Rolex to Present Career Transition for Dancers Benefit Rolex will present a benefit concert for Career Transition For Dancers on October 29 at City Center.
Performing at the event are artists from American Ballet Theatre, Atlanta Ballet, Ballet San Jose and Dance Theatre of Harlem's Dancing Through Barriers Ensemble, among others. Also appearing are Broadway stars Ben Vereen, Michael Cavanaugh, Miguel Frasconi, Elizabeth Parkinson, Keith Roberts, Charlotte d'Amboise and Benji Schwimmer, a winner of the Fox television show, So You Think You Can Dance.

Choregraphers whose work will be performed include Twyla Tharp (excerpts from Sinatra Suite and Movin' Out), Dennis Nahat (Blue Suede Shoes), Peter Pucci (Billboards by Prince), William Whitener, Margo Sappington, Robert Garland and David Parsons.

Bebe Neuwirth, this year's Rolex Dance Award winner, along with CTFD Award recipients Anka K. Palitz and the Jerome Robbins Foundation will also be honored.

The gala opens with a premiere by Ann Marie DeAngelo and Lynn Taylor-Corbett set to live music sung by Melissa Manchester.

Tickets to the performance range from $45 to $130, with special tickets that include a gala dinner at $600 to $1,200.
