Netflix's Stranger Things had a reunion at Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen. Actor Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson in the Netflix hit, made his debut as Jared Kleinman in the Tony-winning musical at the Music Box Theatre July 19. His Stranger Things costars Sadie Sink (herself an alum of Broadway's Annie) and Maya Hawke, Max Mayfield and Robin Buckley (respectively) in the series, came to support.

The musical's social media shared two pictures of the trio backstage. "Things got a bit strange on Broadway tonight! @sadiesink_ and @maya_hawke stopped by for @GatenM123’s first performance and a @strangerthingstv reunion."

See the post below.

Matarazzo made his Broadway debut in 2011 in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and was last seen on Broadway in 2014 in the revival of Les Misérables. The actor stepped into his new role the same day the company welcomed : Ann Sanders (The Music Man, Frozen) as Cynthia Murphy, Noah Kieserman as Connor Murphy, and Ciara Alyse Harris as Alana Beck to the Broadway company. Kieserman and Harris join the production from the musical's national tour.

"Words could never express how truly honored I am to be a part of this company," Matarazzo said in an earlier statement. "This show has taught me so much about myself and to be able to participate in any capacity, let alone on Broadway, makes me want to melt. I am ecstatic to be back on stage and eternally grateful for the opportunity."
