LAST CHANCE→ The latest theatrical undertaking for Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has him writing the score to Rolin Jones' mod-revamp of Much Ado About Nothing. These Paper Bullets!, described as a rip-off of Shakespeare in the style of the Beatles, features arrangements by Armstrong's American Idiot partner, Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt. OPENING→ An all-star, award-winning foursome — Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall, Oscar and Tony nominee Toni Collette, Tony winner Tracy Letts and Oscar winner Marisa Tomei — inhabit Will Eno's hilarious and dark take on suburbia in The Realistic Joneses. Tony Danza, Rob McClure, Brynn O'Malley and Nancy Opel, who starred in the Paper Mill Playhouse premiere last year, will sing the Jason Robert Brown tunes. PREVIEWS (LA)→ Four-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening stars in the world premiere of Ruth Draper's Monologues, a one-woman exploration of the real-life work of influential monologist and actress Ruth Draper. OPENING→ Director-choreographer Susan Stroman puts her flamboyant flair to work on Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway, a musical adaptation of Allen's Academy Award-nominated film of the same name. "Scrubs" star Zach Braff plays a playwright whose burgeoning career on Broadway takes a dastardly turn thanks to a heavy-handed mobster and a domineering diva, played by Marin Mazzie. REOPENING→ A Night With Janis Joplin, which played Broadway's Lyceum this season, transfers to Off-Broadway's Gramercy Theatre.
