PREVIEWS→ Tony nominee Elizabeth A. Davis, Claybourne Elder and Malcolm Gets star in John Doyle's adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Allegro. This rarely seen coming-of-age story will get the full "Doyle treatment": The Tony-winning director and creator will stage the musical with actors accompanying themselves on different instruments (as he has done with past acclaimed productions of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd and Company). The one-and-only Patti LuPone, the newly minted artist-in-residence at 54 Below, returns to "Broadway's supper club" for a follow-up to her acclaimed Far Away Places. As with its predecessor, Far Away Places Part Two is conceived and directed by Scott Wittman and features an eclectic mix of songs that "explore her wanderlust."
