Broadway's upcoming Glengarry Glen Ross revival has finally found its Broadway home and announced dates. The David Mamet play will take the Palace Theatre, with previews beginning March 10, 2025, ahead of a March 31 opening night. Tony winner Patrick Marber (Leopoldstadt) is directing.
Tickets for the limited, 12-week run are currently available with registration at GlengarryOnBroadway.com. A general sale will begin December 12 at 10 AM ET.
As previously announced, the company will be led by Kieran Culkin as Richard Roma, Bob Odenkirk as Shelley Levene, Bill Burr as Dave Moss, and Michael McKean as George Aaronow. The cast will also include Donald Webber Jr. as John Williamson, Howard W. Overshown as Baylen, and John Pirruccello as James Lingk. Casting is by The Telsey Office's Will Cantler and Destiny Lilly.
Glengarry Glen Ross, which premiered at London's National in 1983 before making a Broadway debut in 1984, centers on four Chicago real estate agents. Over two days, the group stops at nothing to make the next sale, primarily the prime real estate in Glengarry Highlands that they want to turn into a repeat of their past success with Glen Ross Farms.
The play has proved to be one of, if not the, most successful of Mamet's catalogue, hitting the big screen in an Academy Award-nominated 1992 film and returning to Broadway in 2005 and 2012. The work also earned Mamet a Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1984.
Marber's staging will feature production design by Scott Pask and lighting design by Jen Schriever. Barclay Stiff will serve as production stage manager.
"In 1983, I saw the original production of Glengarry Glen Ross in London,” said Marber in an earlier statement. "I was just 19. The play blew my young soul away. It was one of the reasons I wanted to work in theatre. Forty years later, I am so thrilled to be directing it on Broadway with these incredible actors. I will do my utmost to ensure that this great American play brings audiences the same great pleasures it brought to me."
