The level of continuity between “Satisfied” and “Helpless” in Hamilton has always been spotted and scrutinized by audiences, but watching the two songs side-by-side only further highlights the cohesion of the two moments. Check it out in a video posted by the production below.

As fans will recall, “Satisfied” is sung by Angelica Schuyler as she recalls her brief courtship with Alexander Hamilton. The song immediately follows “Helpless,” as Angelica’s younger sister Eliza (played by Tony nominee Phillipa Soo) marries the soon-to-be first Treasurer of the United States.

Renée Elise Goldsberry won a Tony Award in 2016 for her performance as Angelica while Soo earned a Tony nod for her work as Eliza. Hamilton is currently on hiatus due to the pandemic, but the film capture, featuring most of the original Broadway cast, is available to stream on Disney+.
