The Orion Pictures and Samuel Goldwyn Films motion picture Youth in Oregon, starring four-time Tony winner Frank Langella, is released in cinemas in the U.S. and on demand February 3.

Directed by Joel David Moore, the film features a script by Andrew Eisen. The cast also includes Billy Crudup, Christina Applegate, Mary Kay Place, Josh Lucas, Nicola Peltz, and Alex Shaffer.

Youth in Oregon, according to a previous report in Deadline.com, “centers on Raymond (Langella), a 79-year-old curmudgeon who makes arrangements to be euthanized in Oregon. His family refuses to accept his decision, but when another family emergency arises, Raymond’s daughter Kate (Applegate) turns to her husband Brian (Crudup) for a little help. Brian reluctantly volunteers to drive Raymond and his wine-loving wife Estelle (Mary Kay Place) the 3,000 miles to Oregon—determined to change Raymond’s mind before they get there.”

Producers of the film are Stefan Nowicki, Joey Carey, and Morgan White of Sundial Pictures; executive producers are Langella and Ross Dinerstein.

Langella won Tony Awards for his performances in The Father, Frost/Nixon, Fortune’s Fool, and Seascape.
