Founded in 2002, The PIT (Peoples Improv Theater) is an improv comedy theater and school located in the heart of Chelsea. The PIT hosts comedy shows and classes (improv, sketch comedy, stand-up, and more!) every night of the week.

We are currently looking to hire a part-time Assistant to the General Manager/Marketing Associate. This is a part-time position (~20 hours per week).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Creating Graphics in Canva
1. For All Shows, Bi-Weekly Show Schedule, Grad Shows, Festivals & Special Events, Announcements, and More
2. For Other Various Projects and Departments, such as Signage for the Theater, Drink Signs for Pioneers Bar, and More
- Creating Daily Schedules
- Schedule Mailchimp
- 2 Weekly Newsletters (Classes & Shows)
- Maintain MailChimp Audience, Data Analysis
- Monthly Financial Report – Concessions
- Monthly Order Source Report
- Maintain Google Calendar and Website
- Maintain and Update Ushers/Night Managers Handbook
- Maintain Union Menu and Inventory
- Myriad other tasks as they arise
Maintain PIT Instagram
1. Posting Schedule (includes Selecting Shows to Feature alongside Schedules, Classes, etc.)
2. Work with All Departments to Create Original Content
3. Respond to Comments and DMs
Research and Implement Marketing Strategies
1. Create Ad Campaigns to Run on Meta
2. Send Press Releases
3. Submit Ads to LinkNYC, and More
Ideal Proficiencies (or willing to learn!): - Google Suite (especially Google Calendar, Google Ads, Google Sheets)
- Canva
- Instagram
- Wordpress
