Coward’s satire on modern art, criticism, pretension and the value placed on art will feature Blair Brown, Michael Potts, Maureen Anderman, Philip Goodwin, Jacob Ming-Trent, Colin Critchley, Bianca Amato, Julia Coffey and Armand Shultz. Maria Aitkin will direct.
“We are fortunate to have Maria Aitken’s deft hand at the helm of this delightful satire that all admirers of Noel Coward will appreciate. Not only is Maria an Olivier Award winning director, she’s a brilliant actress and a Coward authority. A trustee of the Noel Coward Foundation, each year she comes up with a special piece for our audience,” said Margot Harley, producer of The Acting Company, in a statement. “No one does Coward better.”
The reading will be followed by a reception with the cast and director.
Signature Theatre (Alice Griffin Jewel Box) is located at 480 West 42nd Street. For tickets, priced $35 and $60, call (212) 258-3111.
