Sixteen of the new members make their Broadway debuts, including both Erik C. Peterson and Joel Meyer, newly playing Scorpius Malfoy and Albus Potter, respectively.

The pair succeed Brady Dalton Richards and James Romney, who played their final performances November 13, along with current Rose Granger-Weasley Nadia Brown. Current company member Maya Thomas succeeds Brown as Rose alongside Peterson and Meyer.

Also joining the company and making their Broadway debuts in the production's ensemble are Chadd Alexander, Ebony Blake, Darby Breedlove, Irving Dyson Jr., Gary-Kayi Fletcher, Eleasha Gamble, Logan James Hall, Abbi Hawk, Chance Marshaun Hill, Nick Hyland, Samaria Nixon-Fleming, Erik Evan Olson, and Kiaya Scott. Broadway alum Brittany Zeinstra (The Prom) also adds her name to the roster.

Steve Haggard as Harry Potter, Angela Reed as Ginny Potter, David Abeles as Ron Weasley, and Aaron Bartz as Draco Malfoy are continuing with the production, along with ensemble members Kevin Rico Angulo, Chelsey Arce, Quinn Blades, Ted Deasy, Kira Fath, Edward James Hyland, Jax Jackson, Jack Koenig, Spencer LaRue, Alexandra Peter, Dan Piering, William Rhem Jr., Stephen Spinella, Tom Patrick Stephens, and Karen Janes Woditsch.

Company member Rachel Leslie begins a limited run as Hermione Granger November 15, filling in for Jenny Jules through January 15, 2023.

Inspired by J.K. Rowling's seven-part book series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child brings the boy wizard to the stage in a new story taking place two decades after the events of the books. Penned by Jack Thorne, the work is based on an original story by Rowling, Thorne, and John Tiffany, who directs the production.

The play premiered in London's West End in 2016, winning nine Olivier Awards including Best New Play; and made the jump to Broadway in 2018, winning six Tony Awards including Best Play. The work was originally designed as two full-length two-act plays, though the Broadway production was streamlined into one two-act play when it reopened following the shutdown last year. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has also opened productions in Melbourne, Toronto, and Tokyo.

The production features movement by Steven Hoggett, scenic design by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music and arrangements by Imogen Heap, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, illusions and magic by Jamie Harrison, and music supervision and arrangements by Martin Lowe. Casting is by Jim Carnahan.

The work is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender, and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions.
