Martin McDonagh's Olivier-winning comedy Hangmen resumed Broadway previews April 8 at the Golden Theatre following its two-year pandemic hiatus. The production will play a limited 10-week engagement, with opening night set for April 21.

Returning to the Broadway production are two-time Olivier winner and Tony nominee Tracie Bennett (End of the Rainbow, Follies), Owen Campbell, Jeremy Crutchley, Olivier Bursary Award winner Gaby French, Josh Goulding, John Hodgkinson, Richard Hollis, John Horton, and Ryan Pope, with Sebastian Beacon, Peter Bradbury, Gina Costigan, Katie Fabel, and Colin McPhillamy. Joining the cast are Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), in his Broadway debut; and Tony nominee David Threlfall (Nicholas Nickleby, Shameless), back on Broadway after a 25-year absence. Allen and Threlfall replace Dan Stevens and Mark Addy who were with the production in 2020. Olivier-winning theatremaker Andy Nyman (Derren Brown: Secret) also joins the cast.

Matthew Dunster again directs the Royal Court Theatre/Atlantic Theater Company production, centering on Harry (Threlfall), a hangman who finds himself unemployed when hanging is abolished. Set in a small pub in Northern England in the 1960s, regulars gather to hear Harry's reaction to the news when a mysterious stranger from London, Mooney (Allen), enters their world.

Hangmen features set and costume design by Olivier winner Anna Fleischle, with lighting design by Joshua Carr and sound design by Olivier Award winner Ian Dickinson. Casting is by Amy Ball and The Telsey Office's Adam Caldwell. Robert Fox, Jean Doumanian, and Craig Balsam produce.
