Actor Arielle Jacobs was honored with a Sardi's caricature November 17.
Jacobs currently appears on Broadway as Imelda Marcos in Here Lies Love, the immersive disco musical based on the real story of the Filipino First Lady, whose husband Ferdinand Marcos was the 10th president of the Philippines and ruled as dictator for 20 years until 1986.
For her unveiling, Jacobs was joined by Telly Leung, Ginna Claire Mason, J.J. Caruncho, and members of the cast and company of Here Lies Love.
Prior to Here Lies Love, Jacobs starred on Broadway as Princess Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin, Nessarose in Wicked, and Nina Rosario in the final cast of In the Heights. She also originated the roles of Gabriella Montez in the original cast of Disney on Broadway’s High School Musical, Jasmine in the original Australian cast of Disney’s Aladdin, and Nina Rosario in the First National Tour of In the Heights. Additionally, she recently starred Off-Broadway as Delilah McPhee in the original cast of Between the Lines.
