Filmed at London's The Other Palace, the musical adaptation of the 1989 cult film favorite features a book, music, and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O'Keefe.

Heathers: The Musical, filmed live on stage from London's The Other Palace, is screening in U.K. and Ireland movie theatres March 28–May 6, according to a report in Variety. The cinema showings follow a streaming release in the U.S. and Canada via Roku originals last year, and a preview U.K. cinema screening March 21. A digital release is set to follow June 5, accompanied by a DVD and blu-ray special edition of the film as well. The cinema and home video releases are a collaboration between Village Roadshow Pictures and Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment.

Directed by Andy Fickman (who also directed the original Off-Broadway run), Heathers stars Ailsa Davidson as Veronica Sawyer and Simon Gordon as Jason “J.D” Dean, alongside Maddison Firth as Heather Chandler, Vivian Panka as Heather Duke, Teleri Hughes as Heather McNamara, Vicki Lee Taylor as Ms. Fleming/Veronica’s Mom, Mhairi Angus as Martha Dunnstock, Liam Doyle as Kurt Kelly, Rory Phelan as Ram Sweeney, Oliver Brooks as Kurt’s Dad/Big Bud Dean/Coach Ripper, Andy Brady as Ram’s Dad/Principal Gowan/Veronica’s Dad, Benjamin Karran as Beleaguered Geek, Chris Parkinson as Hipster Dork/Officer McCord, Jermaine Woods as Peppy Stud/Officer Milner, Eleanor Morrison Halliday as Young Republicanette, Mary-Jean Caldwell as Stoner Chick, Hannah Lowther as New Wave Party Girl, and May Tether as Drama Club Drama Queen.

Based on the 1989 cult favorite film, Heathers: The Musical follows Westerberg High student Veronica Sawyer who's on track to become one of the most popular girls in school after befriending the beautiful but cruel Heathers, only to meet a mysterious teen rebel who changes everything.

The musical features a book, music, and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O'Keefe. Choreography is by Gary Lloyd with costume and production design by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound by Dan Samson, and musical direction by Phil Cornwel. Production services are by Steam Motion and Sound, with Roku, Village Roadshow Pictures, and BKStudios producing.

The filmed stage performance captures the musical's original London production, which bowed at The Other Palace in 2018 before breaking box-office records and transferring to Theatre Royal Haymarket the same year. Since its debut, the production toured the U.K. and played an encore run at the Haymarket that later transferred back to its original home at The Other Palace.
