Ahead of its upcoming first Broadway performance February 21 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, Buena Vista Social Club has revealed digital lottery and general rush policies, which will offer theatregoers ways to see the new musical for as little as $45.
Opening night is March 19.
The show's digital lottery will be run via Rush.Telecharge.com, where entries will be accepted beginning at midnight ET the day before a desired performance. Winners, who will have the opportunity to buy up to two $49 tickets, will be drawn at 10 AM ET with a second drawing at 3 PM ET. Winners will have five hours to finalize the purchase, and seats may be partial view.
Rush tickets will be available in person at the Schoenfeld Theatre box office on the day of each performance for $45, subject to availability. Rush tickets are limited to two tickets per person, and on a first-come first-served basis.
Inspired by the Grammy-winning 1997 album of the same name, Buena Vista Social Club features a book by Marco Ramirez (The Royale). The musical brings the album to life, and tells the story of the legends who lived it. Director Saheem Ali (Fat Ham), as well as choreographers Patricia Delgado and Justin Peck (Illinoise), are returning after staging the musical's 2023 world premiere Off-Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company.

Buena Vista Social Club is both the name given to this extraordinary group of musicians and the album, recorded in just seven days in 1996. The trio of Cuban bandleader Juan de Marcos González, American producer and guitarist Ry Cooder, and British producer and label owner Nick Gold assembled an impromptu group of Cuban musicians in Havana’s 1950s vintage EGREM studios. The album would become a worldwide phenomenon: awarded a Grammy in 1997 and, at over eight million copies, outselling any other record in the same genre. The acclaim of the album has elevated the artists (including Ibrahim Ferrer, Rubén González, and Omara Portuondo) to superstar status and inspired an award-winning film by Wim Wenders.
Buena Vista Social Club is produced on Broadway by Orin Wolf, John Styles, Barbara Broccoli, Atlantic Theater Company, Luis Miranda, LaChanze, and John Leguizamo, with Executive Producer Allan Williams.
