The Twenty-Sided Tavern, the officially licensed Dungeons & Dragons live experience, will welcome Ify Nwadiwe (Dimension 20, Workaholics), Jack Lepiarz (known as “Jacques Ze Whipper” on social media) and Neil Newbon (Baldur's Gate 3, Final Fantasy XVI) as featured players in 2025.

Appearing throughout January and early February 2025, the trio are the latest featured players to join the tabletop RPG production, which welcomes rotating adventurers to their improvisational quest play.

Ify Nwadiwe is a comedian, actor, writer, and professional nerd, known for his roles in Dimension 20, Workaholics, and Grand Crew. "After seeing the show myself, it was a dream to get the chance to be on the stage. It's a mix of all of my favorite things: comedy, storytelling, and D&D,” said Nwadiwe “It's an honor to join the cast and join the fun on stage." Nwadiwe will portray the Warrior from January 3 through January 21.

Jack Lepiarz, famously known as “Jacques Ze Whipper,” is a celebrated circus performer and social media personality. Renowned for his whip-cracking stage shows at Renaissance festivals, Lepiarz has captivated over 3 million fans online. “I’ve been smitten with D&D since I was a kid,” said Lepiarz. “And getting a chance to play it and entertain people at the same time is an honor and a privilege.”  He will play the role of Trickster from January 9 through January 19.

Neil Newbon, winner of The Game Awards' 2023 Best Performer for his role as Astarion in Baldur's Gate III, has over 14 years of experience in performance capture and voiceover, with credits in more than 100 games, TV shows, and films. “After the thrilling experience of working on Baldur’s Gate 3 I was so happy to be asked to step back into the world of Dungeons & Dragons—this time on stage,” said Newbon. “I can’t wait to share this adventure with the audience.”  Newbon will portray the Mage from January 23 through February 4.

The Twenty-Sided Tavern officially opened its premiere Off-Broadway at Stage 42 May 5 after beginning previews April 19. The production unites Hasbro, Curious Hedgehog, Showpath Entertainment, and Wizards of the Coast to bring the tabletop adventure game to the stage.

The Twenty-Sided Tavern is an improvised quest play. Relying on audience participation, each performance is uniquely tailored to decisions made by audience members on their phones using patented software from Gamiotics. Audience members choose which characters will appear each evening, as well as which paths they will take, and which decisions they will make along the journey. The in-mobile-browser platform does not require any special equipment, instead running on audience members' phones.

The show premiered at The Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, later playing runs in Chicago and at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

While the production naturally appeals to Dungeons & Dragons players, knowledge of the tabletop role-play world is not required, as the structure of the game is communicated within the show.

Created by David Andrew Laws, Sarah Reynolds, and David Carpenter, The Twenty-Sided Tavern is written by Laws. The game design is by Reynolds.
