The immersive Off-Broadway staging of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street welcomes a new Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett February 27. Succeeding Hugh Panaro and Carolee Carmello (who played their final performances February 25) are the previously announced Thom Sesma and Sally Ann Triplett.

Tickets for Sweeney Todd are currently selling through May 27.

Also joining the cast February 27 are Billy Harrigan Tighe (Pippin) as Anthony, DeLaney Westfall (Kinky Boots) as Johanna, and Zachary Noah Piser (Wicked) as Tobias. They succeed Jake Boyd, Eryn LeCroy, and John-Michael Lyles in their roles, respectively.

Michael James Leslie (Judge Turpin), John Rapson (The Beadle), and Stacie Bono (Pirelli & Beggar Woman) are staying with the production. The cast also includes Matt Leisy, Liz Pearce, Danny Rothman, and Monet Sabel.

Directed by Bill Buckhurst, The Tooting Arts Club’s immersive production of Sweeney Todd began previews February 14, 2017, at the Barrow Street Theatre prior to an official opening March 1. The downtown theatre has been completely transformed into a working pie shop for the show, with theatregoers encouraged to dine in the theatre prior to the performance.

Sweeney Todd features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler from an adaptation by Christopher Bond.
