The evening, according to press notes, focuses on "songs from Broadway productions which began as Hollywood feature films." Funds raised benefit programs at AIDS Project Los Angeles.
Scheduled to appear are Adrienne Baron, Susanne Blakeslee, Sharon Catherine Brown, Mary Jo Catlett, Carole Cook, Nancy Dussault, David Engel, Julie Garnye, Thea Gill, Jason Graae, Bill A. Jones, Sally Kellerman, Jon Maher, James C. Mulligan, Patricia Morison, Robert Morse, Scott Nevins, Kevin Odekirk, Jake Simpson, Sally Struthers, Tami Tappan, Donna Theodore, Lea Thompson, Lisa Vroman and Adam Wylie.
Five-time Olympic medalist diver Greg Louganis will take part in a presentation of original costumes featured in classic Broadway productions. Susan Claassen, whose one-woman show A Conversation with Edith Head has won awards across the country, will narrate the costume cavalcade in character. Joining Louganis will be his husband Johnny Chaillot-Louganis, Broadway veterans Haviland Stillwell and Craig Ramsay, celebrity hairstylist Brandon Liberati as well as Noah Bean, Lyndsy Fonseca, Peter Marc Jacobson and Jill Burke.
Florence Henderson will perform a Dan Mojica number in a tribute to the late choreographer.
David Galligan directs with musical direction by Brad Ellis.
Co-created in 1984 by Michael Kearns, Galligan, Susan Obrow and the late James Carroll Pickett, STAGE has raised more than $5 million for HIV/AIDS organizations in the Southland. Galligan has staged and directed all 31 productions.
