Playbill Celebrates Broadway's July Birthdays

Wave a grand old flag for our July birthdays!

Sparkling this month are the performers, directors, playwrights, and other theatre artists who celebrate their birthdays in bursts of fireworks. July is a dandy month to commemorate all the Yankee Doodles who have unfurled their talents on Broadway. We're making sure all the world hears us sing "Happy Birthday!" "All Good Gifts" are due to Nick Blaemire (Godspell) on his July 1 birthday.

Curb Your Enthusiasm on July 2 for Larry David's (Fish in the Dark) birthday.

July 3 is a quadruple-threat birthday with Audra McDonald (Gypsy, Ragtime), Betty Buckley (Sunset Boulevard), Patrick Wilson (All My Sons) and Alexander Gemignani (West Side Story) all celebrating.

It couldn't please us more than to wish Michael Stuhlbarg (Patriots) the happiest of birthdays on July 5.

Get ready to celebrate Jeremy Pope (The Collaboration, Ain't Too Proud), Brandon Uranowitz (Leopoldstadt), and Quentin Earl Darrington (MJ The Musical) on July 9.

"Put On Your Sunday Clothes" this July 10 in celebration of the late composer and lyricist Jerry Herman (Hello, Dolly!, La Cage aux Folles, Mame).

"The Morning Report" on July 11 will be full of good wishes for Will Brill (Stereophonic, Oklahoma!) and Lebo M (The Lion King).

We shall dance on July 12 as we celebrate Cheyenne Jackson (Into the Woods, Xanadu) and Oscar Hammerstein II (The King and I, Carousel, Show Boat).

July 13 is for recognizing those who have spent their life in the theatre with Jason Danieley (Pretty Woman: The Musical) and Deborah Cox (The Wiz, Aida) celebrating.

It will be loverly to celebrate Laura Benanti (My Fair Lady, She Loves Me) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Topdog / Underdog) on July 15.

We'll be crying salty teardrops of joy on July 16 as Tony Kushner (Angels in America) celebrates his birthday.

Shout, "Happy Birthday," to Ephraim Sykes (Ain't Too Proud) on July 17.

We'll see Kristen Bell (The Crucible) with the birthday cake on July 18.

Lillias White (Hadestown, Chicago) and Myles Frost (MJ The Musical) will be livin' it up on top all day July 21.

Suddenly, it will be Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin) and John Leguizamo's (Latin History for Morons) July 22 birthday.

July 23 is Daniel Radcliffe (Merrily We Roll Along) and Krysta Rodriguez's (Spring Awakening) time to shine as they celebrate their birthday.

Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked, The Queen of Versailles) is sure to be popular on July 24.

There won't be any sounds of silence as we celebrate Josh Radnor (The Ally, Disgraced) on July 29.

We're happy for Jessica Stone (Water for Elephants, Kimberly Akimbo) and Laurence Fishburne (American Buffalo, The Lion in Winter) as they celebrate their birthday on July 30.
