Full casting has been revealed for The Old Vic's upcoming encore run of Groundhog Day, set to run May 20–August 12 with a June 8 opening night.

As previously announced, the musical's Olivier-winning original leading man is back, with Andy Karl returning to the role of TV weatherman Phil Connors. He will share the stage with Tanisha Spring as Rita Hanson, Kamilla Fernandes as Debbie, Aimée Fisher as Joelle, Nick Hayes as Ralph, Jacqueline Hughes as Piano Teacher, Ashlee Irish as Larry, Chris Jenkins as Gus, Andrew Langtree as Ned Ryerson, Billy Nevers as Fred, Eve Norris as Nancy, Mark Pearce as Sheriff, Ben Redfern as Buster, Durone Stokes as Deputy, Alex Stoll as Billy, Jez Unwin as Jenson, and Annie Wensak as Mrs. Lancaster.

Rounding out the company as swings are Jasmin Colangelo, Kelly Ewins-Prouse, Zack Guest, and Matthew Whennell-Clark.

With a book by Danny Rubin and a score by Matilda's Tim Minchin, the musical premiered at the London's Old Vic in 2016, later winning the Olivier for Best New Musical before transferring to Broadway the following year for a brief run. The musical follows TV weatherman Phil Connors as he's stuck in small-town America reliving the same day over and over again. As he gets to know associate TV producer Rita Hanson for the first time repeatedly, he realizes it’s an opportunity for second, third, and fourth chances.

The upcoming encore run will largely be a remount of the original production, with Old Vic Artistic Director Matthew Warchus back at the helm.

Not returning for the revival, however, is choreographer Peter Darling. The new run will be choreographed by Lizzi Gee, who previously provided steps for Warchus' A Christmas Carol in London and on Broadway. Newly announced to be returning from the original London and Broadway creative teams are set and costume designer Rob Howell, orchestrator and musical supervisor Christopher Nightingale, lighting designer Hugh Vanstone, sound designer Simon Baker, illusion designer Paul Kieve, and video and animation designer Andrzej Goulding, with additional movement by Finn Caldwell. Will Burton is casting director, and Alan Berry will be music director.
