Second Stage honored Stephen Sherrill for 34 years as chairman of the board at its 39th Annual Gala, May 7 at Cipriani in New York.
The company, which has been a fixture of the Off-Broadway scene for most of the last four decades, made the jump to Broadway this year with the opening of its first season at the Hayes Theatre with Lobby Hero by Kenneth Lonergan, starring Chris Evans, Bel Powley, and Tony nominees Michael Cera and Brian Tyree Henry.
