Daniel Sullivan will stage the production — starring Anne Hathaway — which launches the summer of free theatre at the outdoor venue in Central Park. Twelfth Night will run through July 12.
Stark Sands (Journey's End) will star opposite Hathaway as her twin brother Sebastian, alongside newly announced cast members Julie White (The Little Dog Laughed, The Understudy) as Maria, Herb Foster (A Midsummer Night's Dream) as Valentine, Kevin Kelly (Much Ado About Nothing) as Sea Captain, Baylen Thomas (Cyrano de Bergerac) as Curio and Jon Patrick Walker (Young Frankenstein) as Fabian.
The new cast members join a star-studded roster that boasts four time Tony Award-winning actress Audra McDonald (110 in the Shade, Ragtime) as Olivia, three-time Tony nominee Raúl Esparza (Company, Speed-the-Plow) as Orsino, two-time Tony nominee David Pittu (What's That Smell?) as Feste, Michael Cumpsty (Sunday in the Park with George) as Malvolio, Hamish Linklater (The Busy World Is Hushed) as Sir Andrew Aguecheek and Jay O. Sanders (Midsummer Night's Dream) as Sir Toby Belch.
The ensemble includes Clifton Duncan, David Kenner, Leslie Harrison, Slate Holmgren, Dorien Makhloghi, Ray Rizzo and Zach Villa.
Designing the production are John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Acme Sound Partners (sound design), Rick Sordelet (fight director) and Mimi Lieber (choreography). The production will feature an original score by Brooklyn-based folk-rock band Hem, comprising vocalist Sally Ellyson, pianist Dan Messe, and guitarists Gary Maurer and Steve Curtis.
Twelfth Night centers on Viola, who along with her twin Sebastian, finds herself washed ashore in the mysterious land of Illyria following a shipwreck.
