DESCRIPTION

Capital Stage’s Managing Director is a forward-thinking and inspirational arts administrator, who has demonstrable achievements connected to their arts nonprofit leadership. A strong collaborative partner with the Artistic Director and the Board of Directors, the Managing Director has a crucial role in building the future of Capital Stage, participating in critical decision-making regarding Capital Stage’s current performance space, invigorating Capital Stage’s marketing initiatives to build Capital Stage’s earned revenue, and energizing fundraising strategies to build Capital Stage’s contributed revenue, including consideration of a potential capital campaign, as well as serving as one of the company’s primary ambassadors. The Managing Director must be a values-driven individual whose experience is grounded in equity, diversity, and inclusion. The Managing Director has primary responsibility for the Capital Stage budget, finances, administration, and marketing and fund development efforts. Past experience with creating, and managing a budget, marketing, fundraising, nonprofit administration, strategic planning, and/or facilities management is a plus.
