The series, available on YouTube, features songs from Rent, Waitress, A Chorus Line, The Color Purple, and more.

11 O'Clock Number, a new, 12-episode musical web series from Broadway vet and recording artist Matt Zarley, debuts March 27 at 11 PM ET on YouTube. Watch the trailer above.

The series, which will premiere two new episodes every Monday for six weeks, utilizes a host of Broadway tunes (all originally sung by women) to tell the story of a heartbroken singer who harnesses the power of musicals to help him cope with the pandemic lockdown.

“What started out two months into the pandemic lockdown as purely throwing down some vocals on a few songs (written originally for women that I always secretly wanted to sing), eventually evolved into a 12-episode short form musical series,” says Zarley. “To say that this was a labor of love would be a real understatement. I love the idea of creating new ways of presenting musical content to a mass audience in a fresh way.”

The series also includes contributions from Billy Porter, Joann Hunter, and Ron Kellum and features the talents of Jason Graae, Haviland Stillwell, Ty Taylor, Marty Thomas, Barbara Deutsch, Kathy Deitch, James Tabeek, and Julie Garnye.

11 O’Clock Number is directed, produced, and edited by Zarley and co-directed by Reed Stillwell with a story by Zarley and Stilwell. The director of photography is Jesse Aragon with music produced by Zarley and Andy Zulla. The wardrobe stylist is Sabrina Feldman.
