The master of Broadway tours, Broadway Up Close, offers its haunted tour year round, but there’s no better time to go than the spookiest month of the year. Capped at a maximum of 15 guests per tour, visitors will learn the history of theatre superstitions and spooky sightings on Broadway during this hour-and-45-minute tour. Your Green Team Guide will also be able to paint a full picture of haunted Broadway using iPads with rarely seen photographs, news clippings, and videos culled over years of research to dig into the rich history of theatre’s ghoulish past. THE RIDE In Masquerade

Written and directed by Richard Humphrey, THE RIDE In Masquerade presents its sixth annual season for Halloween 2019. Just like the year-round RIDE, visitors will board the million-dollar motor coaches for an interactive performance-based bus tour, this time with performers decked in bejeweled masks telling the story of 15th-century courtly celebrations which transformed into 16th-century costumed balls embedded along the streets of Manhattan. The Cell Theatre

Enter the world of visual artist Mikel Glass in this art installation meets immersive theatre. In collaboration with theatre companies Mason Holdings and Sister Sylvester, FOUND explores the roles transitional objects play in our lives in this surreal, nostalgic, and sometimes spooky experience. From abandoned dolls to old toy sculptures, Glass creates a wild environment. Move through the space in small groups, as the actors guide you. Rock of Ages’ Rocktober Fest

Ticketholders to New World Stages’ Rock of Ages get to continue the rockin’ celebration Halloween style with a slate of special invites throughout the month of October. Each Sunday (October 6, 13, 20, 27) , every audience member has the opportunity to win prizes from The Ribbon Restaurant, Guitar Center, and more as part of Sunday Surprizes. On October 12, one lucky theatregoer will receive an electric guitar from D’ Angelico Guitars and a VIP guitar lesson from Rock of Ages’ very own guitarist, Tommy Kessler from Blondie. For three nights only, the hotel will be transformed into a cinema-scape with rooms inspired by the mind-bending films of Alfred Hitchcock. This one-night-only Hallween celebration unites everyday New Yorkers and artists in TNC’s four theatre spaces. Usually attended by over 1,500 costume-clad celebrators, visitors can expect big-band dancing, food, a costume parade, and performances from TNC’s cabarets and theatre acts.
