Dramatists Play Service has acquired Alex Edelman's Tony-honored solo show Just for Us, which is now available for licensing by theatres worldwide.

The work—exploring how Edelman's personal experiences with anti-Semitic abuse online led him to crash a gathering of White Nationalists incognito in New York City—premiered at Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2018 before playing runs at London's Soho Theatre, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Off-Broadway, Broadway, and more. The 2023 Broadway bow was filmed and broadcast on HBO and now can be streamed on Max. Edelman was honored with a 2024 Special Tony Award for the production, and the filmed version earned him an Emmy.

The late Adam Brace, who was an integral part to Edelman creating the show, made his Broadway debut posthumously as the show's stage director. Brace passed away after a short illness in May 2023.

“Theatre thrives on authenticity, and Alex Edelman’s Just for Us embodies that with every laugh and every moment of reflection,” said Broadway Licensing Global Chief Executive Officer Ted Chapin in a statement (DPS is an imprint of BLG). “It is a masterful combination of humor and heart that makes audiences feel both entertained and deeply seen.”

Just for Us will join a large catalogue of solo shows licensable through DPS, including John Leguizamo's Latin History for Morons, Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe's Every Brilliant Thing, Doug Wright's I Am My Own Wife, and Mark St. Germain's Becoming Dr. Ruth.
