The Acting Company's 2016-2017 John McDonald Salon Series will conclude May 15 at 7 PM with Meg Miroshnik’s Lady Tattoo in the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater at the West Side YMCA, 10 W. 64th St.
Acting Company Associate Artistic Director Devin Brain directs an all-female cast that includes Barbara Kingsley (August: Osage County), Kate Abbruzzese (Baltimore Center Stage’s Pride and Prejudice), and Susanna Stahlmann (The Acting Company’s Macbeth).
The new play, according to the Acting Company, concerns “the subversive trend of wealthy American women embracing tattoo artistry at the turn of the 20th century. Lady Tattoo explores the human need for the power and control that secrets offer.”
Up next for The Acting Company is a one-night-only benefit reading of Enid Bagnold's The Chalk Garden, starring Angela Lansbury, to be held at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College June 19 at 7 PM.
