Alysha Umphress (On the Town) reunites with Jeff Blumenkrantz (Bright Star) for a cabaret show at The Green Room 42 January 20 at 7 PM. The concert marks the 10th anniversary of their album I've Been Played: Alysha Umphress Swings Jeff Blumenkrantz.
The two will be joined by special guest Kenita R. Miller (Once On This Island, for colored girls...).
Umphress most recently played taxi-driving Hildy in the Broadway revival of On the Town, with previous credits including American Idiot, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and Bring It On! Blumenkrantz, an actor and songwriter, has appeared on Broadway in Bright Star, A Class Act, How to Succeed..., Damn Yankees, The Threepenny Opera, and Into the Woods. He received a Best Original Score Tony nomination for his work on Urban Cowboy and is a Fred Ebb Award honoree.
