The BA (Hons) Theatre Practice is a program of specialist courses in the creative and production practices of theatre and associated arts. Based on the processes of traditional theatre practice, students will learn to apply depth and rigorous practice to a wider theatre context and collaborate with professional companies and individuals.
Located in Midtown Manhattan, the summer program is free for all selected participants, as the program is designed to level the playing field for students without access to costly training resources.
The queer-themed short plays will be made available for free to non-profit theatres, schools, and community organizations to support fundraising for LGBTQIA+ groups.
After backlash from students, parents, and the theatre community at large, the Keller Independent School District has reversed their decision to cancel the play.
“Inspiration comes from a holy place”: Leslie Odom, Jr. and Kara Young shared their journey with the play and encouraged students to find their own inspirations.
Broadway Licensing Global chose 29 schools to become the first in their U.S. state or territory to perform the new high school edition of the hit Broadway play.
