L.A. Theatre Works' audio play of Dominique Morisseau's Pipeline will be available for digital download beginning March 18.
The emotional play follows a mother and her son as they go head-to-head against a seemingly corrupt educational system.
With direction by Larry Powell, the cast includes Sophina Brown (Fame national tour), Eugene Byrd (Disney Channel's Secrets of Sulphur Spring), Demetrius Grosse (ABC's The Rookie), Emmy nominee Sharon Lawrence (ABC's NYPD Blue), X Mayo (The Farewell), Uyoata Udi (Amazing Grace original cast), and Karen Malina White (Disney+'s The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder).
Morisseau is the author of Broadway's Skeleton Crew and Off-Broadway's Paradise Blue and Detroit '67. She also wrote the book for the Tony-nominated musical Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of the Temptations, which was nominated for Best Book of a Musical. Morisseau's Confederates begins previews Off-Broadway March 8.
Next year, Carnegie Hall's house band will perform Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony, unfinished works by Schubert, and the final concert of Conductor Bernard Labadie.
