The sixth Write Out Loud studio EP will be available for streaming January 10, 2025, featuring songs composed by the winners of Taylor Louderman and Benjamin Rauhala's annual Write Out Loud contest, which highlights the work of emerging musical theatre writers.

On this year's album, Betsy Wolfe (& Juliet) will perform “Fade Away” by Will Shishmanian and Brooke Trumm, Ana Villafañe (On Your Feet!, N/A) will perform “Self-Portrait” by José Alba Rodríguez and Yejune Kim, Louderman (Mean Girls) will perform “California” by Ally Cribb, and Shakina Nayfack (Transparent, Chonburi International Hotel), will perform “Necromancy” by Wren Mied.

“Our album release is maybe the most exciting part of our programming year," Louderman said in a statement. "When we cut our first EP in 2019, we had no idea what would happen or how enthusiastic and supportive this Write Out Loud community would become. I can’t wait for you to hear this year’s winning songs!”

The album features music direction by Rauhala and orchestrations by Macy Schmidt and will be available for streaming via Spotify and Apple Music. Along with the album's release, Write Out Loud will release behind-the-scenes music videos of the four songs, directed by Ellie Gravitte.

Submissions open January 1, 2025 for the next Write Out Loud contest. Visit WriteOutLoudContest.com for more information.
