Knight will be succeeded by Alexandra Burke, who played Deloris in the 2016 tour of the Alan Menken musical. She is scheduled to star in the return engagement June 10-August 31. Additional casting will be announced.

Bill Buckhurst will direct with choreography by Alistair David, set and costume design by Morgan Large, musical direction by Neil MacDonald, lighting design by Tim Mitchell, sound design by Tom Marshall, and musical supervision by Stephen Brooker. Casting is by Stuart Burt

The musical played Broadway's Broadway Theatre March 24, 2011-August 26, 2012, officially opening April 20, 2011. The New York production earned five Tony nominations, including Best Musical.

The musical tells the story of a disco diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Under protective custody, she is hidden in the one place she won’t be found: a convent.
